What do sports bras and a spiritual philosophy of beauty have in common? Lisa Lindahl.
Solving problems, sussing out mysteries, and looking for new answers are the hallmarks of artist Lisa Z. Lindahl’s remarkable life – one which has been overstocked with both challenges and triumphs, betrayals and blessings. From Sri Lanka to Vermont, running trails and hospital beds, and many stops in between Lisa has gathered stories and wisdom bits from each experience. She shares these in her books.
For her invention of the sports bra in 1977 Ms. Lindahl was recently inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in Washington, DC, joining such luminaries as Edison, Jobs and the Wright brothers!
Lisa is inviting each of us to invent a new way of looking at our world, through the lens of Beauty (cosmology & physics, not cosmetology!). Her first book, Beauty As Action, shares how we can actually practice beauty to bring greater harmony and authenticity into our world. In her current book, Unleash The Girls, she shares the life-lessons brought on by her invention of the sports bra and entrepreneurial experiences running its company and how the philosophy of True Beauty guided her along the way.
