The geography of the universe fascinates me.  In my work as a Shaman this goes many places, inspiring many visual concepts.   The ancient Vedic myth of Indra’s Net has captured my imagination for some years now.  In it the God Indra cast a net of the Universe in which a multifaceted jewel is at each vertex, and each jewel is reflected in all of the other jewels.  In the Avatamsaka Sutra, the image of "Indra's net" is used to describe the interconnectedness of the universe.  I see this as an elegant illustration of how all the individuation occurring in life is a part of one whole.

And today we know that the universe is constantly expanding…
